Happy NIU Year!

Not much CNY mood but it's our last year of collecting ang pows so this NIU year does mean something. My grandma already slashed my ang pow by half! Not fair! Was asked the same question by some relatives - "Last CNY you were not here right?" Yes, can't blame them for being "puzzled"... Well, some things are that unpredictable. The 2nd day of CNY is always my favourite but thinking about going back to work tomorrow is just... SIAN! OH well. Anyway, have a prosperous year everyone!

Counting down to CNY

Half day today so I decided to spend some time with Mummy. Sushi tei @ Paragon and after which to Miu Miu. See no buy of course. Then to Marina Square to check out the bridal shops. For fun of course. The half day made me almost $200 poorer. Thanks to the 2 pairs of shoes, lunch & a top. It was worth it of course. And here's my advance Valentine's Day present. And thanks to my new FCUK jeans My new bag is stained :( Another new bag my dear? I'm thinking of a Prada :)

The subsequent weekends

is all about work! 6-8 Feb: Kota Kinabalu 14 Feb: Valentine's Day promo at Vivo & Plaza Singapura 20-22 Feb: Marina Square Wait a minute, where should I slot my bridal shop hunting session?! I guess the last weekend of Feb. IF it's not occupied...

The weekend before CNY

was spent shopping for bedsheets, eating ice-cream & chips, watching movie at home and checking out the new NTUC at Jurong Point. Looks like something my parents do except the ice-cream & chips bit. Simplicity can be happy too...

Thanks but no thanks

I'm not asking for a big hug but you can do better than brushing the topic aside with a brief "oh, congratulations ya..." right? By you, I mean someone I call friend. Someone who was there to witness the ups & down. Although you did bring up that point (to my surprise), it's too late. Blame myself for being 'unforgiving' but the minute I received your really brief & unsincere wishes, I know that's it. Doesn't help that I remember you saying not turning up if the dinner is at somewhere far & inconvenient. No, it wasn't funny and I think you didn't mean it as a joke anyway. You are nice most times but why not this time? Friends I have...

Too much...

A lot of emotions & things to say but I'll leave the details out... The good news is I've finally found a hotel. There will be an Amara part 3. I had this thought while I was eating my apple just now. May not make sense to you but well, read on... Imagine you eat an apple everyday and overtime, it becomes a habit. We all know how hard it is to kick away a habit so what if one day you open the fridge and find a rotten apple...? Do you a) eat it anyway because you have been having one everyday and can't go without it, even for a day. After all, it won't kill that easily right? b) cut it open, hoping that there are still edible parts - a little is better than nothing isn't it? c) throw it away immediately even if that's the last apple and you will feel uneasy not having it - not worth falling sick over an apple. What's your choice? Mine? I've said it before - if you give me a rotten apple, I'd rather go hungry. Beside, there are many other fruits. A...

Amara Hotel Part 1 & 2

20th Dec 2008 - Christmas Party It's definitely better than the last although everyone failed to be together at the same time. SX had a meeting this year (last year was sis' D&D) and I had to attend a friend's wedding day briefing. A few highlights of the day: Clubbing at Lunar was better too although it's not exactly my cup of tea. Gifts were what everyone wanted so no complaints. Managed to have a shot with the Taka's tree before lights were off. A nice surprise though that it's also SX's last party as a single lady... I can't wait to get a tan but there's another year to go... 3 Jan 2009 - Solemnisation Ceremony The day we have been looking forward to (sort of...) It's a week into marriage life and everything is still pretty much the same except we both have a 'new set of parents'. Now, we just need to confirm on Amara Hotel Part 3. Wish us luck!

Just Another Year?

Happy New Year! Amazing how 2008 has went by. I found a new job. I found love. Again. I or rather we have decided to "till death do we part". Or at least we will try. Huge happenings I think and how wrong can I be when I say 2008 works better for me than 2007? So was it "just another year"? Maybe not... And now it's 2009, where more exciting events await us. We will be there soon and meanwhile, let's enjoy the journey! A toast to... those getting married (my best wishes as always). those happily married (work harder). those welcoming new lives (screw the crying, peeing, shitting. Enjoy parenthood). those finding love. those battling with exams (it isn't totally untrue when people say school is better than work). those climbing the coporate ladder or securing their current position (work can be fun too). Everyone. May your 2009 be blessed with happiness, wealth, love, fantastic family & friends and peace.
