Can't blog

For some strange reasons, I can't upload pics thus no updates on Bangkok trip yet. It was a short but good 3 days break. A simple yet went through quite a number of obstacles trip. Nevertheless, we made it and back with no (touch wood) H1N1; poorer yet happier with new clothes. My buys - 23 tops, 2 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of shorts for myself, and things for the Kongs (the most for the youngest one), Yeos (not that much for the one who sponsored this trip), Angs, Yap sisters and the Chin cuties. Not a lot I would say but it made me happy. Happy to buy for others :) Alright, that's for now...

2009 Birthdays with Surprises

11 June - Mummy's surprise cake. Very adorable aye? A surprise picnic @ Botanical Garden. And a hand made card after picnic. Surprise cake on birthday eve Beautiful flowers on birthday. Another surprise cake from colleagues. Vegeterian lunch before this - yummylicious! Belated joint celebration @ Vivo. First time to Dian Xiao Er and I love it. Probably because I was too hungry? 2 July - dinner at Flyer. Whatever birthday wish(es) you have made, may they come true. More importantly, may all be well and happy.

Immune System Down

I don't know why I've been feeling very tired after the funeral. Maybe it's the lack of sleep that couldn't be compensated no matter how many hours I clock in on weekends. Maybe it's the emotional strain. Maybe it's always been this way, ha. I was coughing suddenly on Tuesday so during this H1N1 frenzy, even the stubborn me had to go see a doc. It's quite an intimidating scene at the clinic - first to fill up a declaration form, then masks for those with the H1N1 symptoms and next to sit at the isolated area (as though we were aliens). I was told to stay at home - in doc's words: to be considerate. It's good too because the effect of the cough syrup did 'magic'. I woke up without the cough but with the drowsiness affecting my already quite bad memory. I was supposed to take a new roll of toilet paper but upon leaving the toilet I forgot all about it! And after breakfast, the stomach pain came. I could barely sit or stand straight. Lying on th...

To go or not go?

The trip is just 2 weeks away but the decision is still unclear. I would say about 90% of me would really want to go. This is something I've been looking forward to since Feb? And shopping, girly time, food, a good break out of Singapore - who doesn't want that? But I'm leaving that 10% to minimise disappointment in case it doesn't materialise. I'm feeling the Monday blues already... And I'm craving for omelette with cheese & mushroom!

Bad start to the second half of the year

Soaking wet shoes & jeans. Problems faced at work. Lousy attitude from cab driver. It's a tiring Wed. Wait, Mon & Tues too. Argh.... How do you deal with missing someone? I guess some pain takes longer to heal than others. And some (pain), never really go away. The reality is life goes on regardless. And you have to move on. With the pain. No one can help. But perhaps thinking about others' sufferings help? Good luck & take care.
