I want to tell you

About our date to Helix. A failed trip to Sentosa. Chicken rice dinner on Sunday - which I sorta did. Boring week at work. Tonnes of things I ate because I was bored. Vesak Day. An express mani & pedi + a chipped nail barely hours later. But I'm simply too tired. And photos are all over. So till then, have a great long weekend :)

Chicken Rice War

Years ago, we had a local movie by the name of that. Which I'm sure most of you won't remember. And yesterday, we had our own version. Produced, directed and acted by the same person. And more 'drama' than the original version! Let's see when this war will end.

The way I look at cars

Mirror + lights First thing first, I always check if there's a mirror for the front passenger. More importantly, does it come with a light? No, fail. Why? What can I do if I'm not behind the wheels? And it's very useful when I want to check if my make up's alright, if there's anything stuck in my teeth or anything's dangling from my nose. Of course, please don't do this on a date. It certainly doesn't impress even if he says he likes you for being you. Maybe after the 100th date or simply after you're married. My take: How much does a mirror & light cost? Somebody should make these 2 compulsory in a car. Fast & Furious It's cool. It's hot. It's sexy. And you need a strong heart to be in one. In my case, I become a control freak instantly. That's why I think he secretly hates it when I'm his passenger. Also because I aint a hot chick. Then again, he's not any better. Don't get me started when it's a manual one. ...

Things I want

I'll be honest with you. I'm not an ambitious person. The things I want have been easily attained by others or are just needs to some. Silly things I want When I was young, I told myself that when I start earning money, I would have soft drinks everyday or at least every time the coffee shop uncle asks for my order. Simply because the adults say they ain't good for me and seldom let me have them. Bigger things I want Of course, I did want bigger things. Get good grades, get a degree, have a typical photo of a graduate in a mortar board, get a decent job, blah blah blah... I did fulfill these, some how but they ended up to be not quite the best and not quite what I have expected. And I will always live with the what if I have chosen junior college. Will I have graduated from a local uni and be on a different path in my career today? Cash I THINK I want I think some way or rather, because I'm not ambitious, I don't really have firm goals. Like I want to earn my first ...

To my pretty aunt

20 years ago, I would scatter to keep my toys upon hearing your footsteps down the corridor. I was thankful that we were at the corner unit and the corridor was long enough to buy me some time. You hated mess. 20 years ago, I would freeze each time you checked my nails and asked me to bring you the nail clipper. You would cut so deep that each time I would cry while running my fingers under the tap, hoping the water would make them grow faster. You hated my long nails. 20 years ago, I would go to your then boyfriend with my hair tied in a bun and said my goodnight shyly. He liked that sight of me. I think a year after that you got married and moved out to the east where I love visiting because the sea view was fantastic! Too bad you sold the place later. And I was there when you moved a few blocks down the road. I was there when you wept because you were frustrated with the mess and perhaps the missing sea view and the gloomy weather. I was never that close to you unlike the 3 sisters ...

Long weekend that was meant for Venice

Having fun with iphone whenever, wherever :) We started the long weekend with a buffet dinner at Orchard Hotel, followed by a short and wonderful evening at the Chins. Feasting time! It was reading time for Ian when we reached and I managed to finish the book with him. Fooling around with their guitar pretending I know a thing or two. Saturday was a SIFF film at Lido which got us all (except the men) teary and some with smudged make up. FYI, I was in my "I Love Paris" top. Yes, bought it specifically for the trip and since it's not happening anytime soon, I shall wear it now. I've since bought another "I Love Paris" top. Dinner at Bukit Timah food centre. All I can say about the pasta is... the wait is not worth it. Ended the day with bowling. Have not bowled for more than a month I think and results were of course not that good. Doesn't help when a group of irritating & stinky foreigners were beside us. Not discriminating anyone here but the basic ...
