Milan, where you eat, live, breathe fashion

I was so looking forward to Milan - Prada!, shopping, fashionable people watching and whatnot even though I was told there's nothing much to do there. And yes, those people who told me so are right... Perhaps we shouldn't be there on a weekend, perhaps we didn't explore enough thanks to the rain, I found Milan disappointing. But the 5 stars hotel and of course Prada made it up somehow. When I first shared with my aunt our itinerary, she advised us not to visit Milan and shortly after, she told me she won a 2 nights stay at The Westin Palace, Milan and she would give it to us. Until today, we don't know if it's the truth, haha. The hotel is 1 metro station away from the train station and I thought why not take that instead of cab. It's relatively easy until we got out of the station and was lost. I didn't have a good map and there were several exits so you kinda don't know where you're facing. Doesn't help that it's a Saturday, only 1 or 2 sho...

Emotional ride

You know when I was in Europe, I was thinking to myself how lucky and happy I am to be having one of the best times in my life. I would never have expected things to take such a drastic turn within a week or so. And you know what they say about what hits the most when you least expected it... It's true. You once said that you have never seen me that sad when my relationship failed. Well, today I can tell you you are wrong. I really wish you are right and would rather I be this or that sad all over again for another issue because maybe it's gonna be worth it. And for a moment, I can't help but to question why... Why is it so unfair? Why is it so cruel? Why.... us? Why... you? And then I realise this is reality. We are in reality. I wish I can tell you how the future is like, like how I used to tell you almost everything like a ms know-it-all. But this time, I'm lost and more defeated than ever. But I will pull through and so do everyone else and more importantly you. Bec...

Two Days (well almost) in Venice

The train from Rome to Venice takes about 3hrs plus and by the time we reached, it's past noon. Hotel is about 5mins walk from the station but with luggages, it is definitely not as easy as it sounds. I thought the Rome hotel was situated in a small lane but I obviously have not seen the Venice one. Of course, I would have realised that there are plenty small lanes in Venice later on.. Venice hotel: Casa Martini (somehow I like how classy the name sounds) This is the only hotel that I sourced myself because it was meant for our April trip and since it's non-refundable, Auntie Audrey could not suggest otherwise. I was sold when I first saw the reviews and the photos of the rooms but of course, it's nothing like that in reality. But still not too bad. Orignal price for 2 rooms without breakfast was 205euro but they claimed it's peak season in Oct and we were charged another 80 euro. Quite expensive ya? But it's not like I had a choice. The blanket was super comfortabl...
