Seoul in October

Last year this time, we were having our honeymoon in Europe and I've not stopped missing the places we went ever since :( This October, we went to somewhere nearer - Seoul. Took the Cathay offer and in the 2hrs transit in Hong Kong, we couldn't not eat the food. Although we have had dinner during the flight and it was almost 11pm, nothing could stop us. 2hrs transit is easy peasy, especially in an airport that has much to eat and see. After embarking on another 3hrs plus journey, we reached Seoul at 545am their time (they are 1hr ahead of us). Bus 6015 that would take us to Ibis Myeong Dong's doorstep. First bus only arrived at 6am and it took us about an hour to reach. I was snoozing in the bus after not sleeping much in the plane. Pro of arriving early - maximise time spent in the country Con - hotel room is almost never available Got a shock when they told me our room would only be ready at 2pm! I wasn't dressed for the weather, not made up and...

Schedules

20 to 25 Oct - us to Seoul 28 Oct - collection of our KEYS! 31 Oct to 2/3 Nov - Mr. Grumpy off to Bangkok for work 3 Nov to 6 Nov - me to Hong Kong with family 7 Nov to 9 Nov - me to Manila for work 16 to 18 Nov - me to this island in Phil for work again (TBC but 99% happening) Seriously, how do the flight attendants do it? When did work get so crazy? All being said, the holidays are still a great booster. And collection of our keys tops it all! :) Life is busy but happy, if you let it be. Laters.

Stuck

Thick or normal jacket? Boots or not? Long sleeves or normal tops? Which bag? Argh... And the worst thing is, I have not worked on the itinerary! All I can think of is the shopping... I'm also determined to make the travel-at-least-once-a-month regime stay because although October is finally a work trip free month, I have the Seoul trip. And right after Hong Kong with the family, it's Manila again. Let me have the energy.

Misses and gains

Desperation. Calls for desperate measures. The heart rules the head. Decision made hastily. Almost a year ago, your decision ruined a part of everyone. Today, everything's over. After so much drama, pain and tears, has it been worth it? You are not the only heart-broken one after all. If you weren't that impulsive, perhaps everyone can still live blissfully, in ignorance. At times, we really need to slow down and ponder hard if this certain decision of ours will hurt someone deeply. Cos some pain never goes, and 'time will heal' doesn't quite apply. Some doings are irreversible cos there's no such thing as 'if only I could turn back time'. If you think just at that moment, I'm happy so this is what I'm going to do, think again. Yes, life is too short for regrets but it is too short to hurt too many people too. There are some things that are simply not meant for the moment. They are supposed to last longer and more often than not, ...

Get these right

Loss vs LostI lost my phone. It's her loss that she left you. Patience vs Patient Thank you for your patience. He's very patient. I see people writing thank you for your PATIENT (I'm no doctor, do not have any patient), and sorry for your lost.... These are not difficult words so pls write and speak correctly. And it's goVERment, not govment. Respect the language. Ok la, not say my Engrish very powerful....
