It seems to be working now!

Alrighty, pictures' time!

1. Bangkok trip from 17 to 19 July, Friday to Sunday
Despite waking up at 4am, reaching the airport at 5am, experiencing my virgin trip with Tiger, nursing a terrible blistered lip & 3 ulcers, each having her own problems, we were pretty hyped up in the car towards hotel - refer to pic below.

Cheap, accessible, decent hotel - nothing much to complain about. Except it's a little dangerous at night because it's situated in some alley.

Being socially responsible. Only in the hotel room because it's too suffocating to wear one. If you can see, I wasn't wearing it because it smudged my blusher. Damn bimbotic I know and why wear make-up early in the morning? Because gone are the days that I can live without them and still think I look presentable.

Of food. It's strange we didn't have any local thai food...

First meal in Bangkok - vegeterian rice at Platinum Mall's food court
Dinner at Fuji Restaurant - rather cheap & good!

Day 2 was Chatcuchak day and we starved till 4ish to have don't know lunch or dinner. A lot of Singaporeans' favourite meal when they're overseas.

My supper. I love the variery of flavours available in BKK.

Last meal in BKK, back at Fuji again.
Sometimes I really wish I live in BKK so I can have Jap food everyday!

Of SHOPPING! Not as crazy as the previous trips but still bought items I like.
First day's buys.

Loot for people I love.

Loot for myself.

Day 3's last minute buys at Pratunam & Platinum when we were super broke and have spent our last dollar - be it Sing or Thai.

Excess baggage of 6kg.

2. Photoshoot on 2 Aug, Monday

Me in kwa. Make up artist not nice cos I'm too skinny in it. She must have overlooked the flesh on my tummy & face...

You know the limelight is always on the bride and not the groom and I think the wedding is about the couple so I must say I like this photo. He begs to differ.

Marina Barrage. Luckily it didn't rain this time round. Ironically, it was really windy and my fringe were going everywhere. Hopefully the photos turn out fine.

Last stop at Sentosa.
An enjoyable shoot. FYI, these photos are taken by Mr. Grumpy's camera phone :)

3. Bowling Competition on 7 Aug, Friday

There were 4 categories to be won - Best Dressed (which we were aiming for), Best Individual Male & Female which I was aiming for, Best Group x 2 (which we were not confident at all).

We decided on our dress code 2 days before and don't you love the graphics as much as we do?
We have gotten help through our contacts - free design & free t-shirts - coolest!
We didn't win though. Short of 1 vote :(

But, we managed to get 2nd best team to our surprise! And I was the (ahem) best female individual. In fact, best among all! Haha.. it pays to be 'practising' all these while.

*More photos on facebook.

It took me more than an hour to upload all these photos.. phew.
Have a good weekend everyone!

2016, a year to remember

June has always been my favourite month. But it didn't start off well as I had my first zero sale, boo hoo. Never mind I thought. I've had a zero, what could be worse? Another zero of course, wtf! Fast forward to June 18, the mahjong khakis celebrated my birthday and surprised me with a cake. June 19, celebrated with the in-laws and ended the night with some sinful durian. June 20. 230am. My phone rang. An unfamiliar number and I was so tired I decided to ignore it and switched my phone to night mode. 330am. Heard the phone beep. It was the FB message alert. For some strange reason, I opened my eyes to check my phone. Two missed calls from my brother and the first line of the FB message read your grandpa is in critical condition... I started shaking. Returned my brother's call and he said the same thing, proved that I wasn't dreaming. I hung up and read the FB message my uncle left me and yes it read my grandpa's in critical condition at Tan Tock Seng...

Out with brother

We look alike, don't we? Something small for ourselves :) We had wanted to go to Bishan but didn't think there's much to do so we went Orchard instead. It's been a while since Mr. Grumpy dislikes going to crowded town. Was thinking hard what I wanted for my super belated birthday treat and thought of the Korean restaurant in Chinatown... So off we went. Kimchi pancake Seafood steamboat - yummy! Rice cake before & after - barely touched because we over ordered! After dinner, it was reminiscing at OG. I had a great time thanks to my brother.  More to come :)
