Have you heard?

I've got a PA lately. And if there's anyone who's MORE excited about the Europe trip than us, it has gotta be her. Thanks to her, this is where we are staying in Milan. She's checking on the various hotels in other cities and I trust that we are in good hands. Except that she's not really my PA of course. She's none other than my aunt in London. Almost like our honeymoon planner. She's been so nice to us and as much as I don't want to trouble her, I really don't know how to reject her help. Now, we are scratching our heads as to what to get for her & uncle. What do you buy for people who have everything and the only thing they can be possibly lacking is also one you can never afford? Do you think a good warm hug can do the trick? :)

Day 3 of KL (little) drama

After the previous post, I went for a shower and down for breakfast. Then up for make up, pack up and check out. And made my way to the gym. Before you wonder when I've become so healthy, it wasn't me working out. The class looks fun though but less than half of the participants turned up. Oh well... Like what Hazel said, we've tried our best so job's done. I did a little shopping in between - no, I didn't go crazy - and shortly before the class ends, I left for airport. Check-in could only be at 4pm and I was 5mins early. By the time counters were opened, there was a queue. I've never been early for check-ins so I'm wondering these people want better seats? With the queue and the time spent in getting a taxi, I reached LCCT (their budget terminal) at about 5pm. Now, you would think nothing's wrong so far right? Me too. Except I miscalculated the time and left for airport at 545pm. My flight's 620pm and getting back takes about 15mins. I also miscalc...

Last day in KL

I'm sure I'll be back but I'm happy I'm ending my 'alone trip' soon :) Home is still the best, no? The thing I fear about this trip is not that I'm travelling alone but that I would stuff myself silly. All the lunch & dinner appointments... Although I do eat 3 full meals back home, it's different when it's a business meal. For example, I can't be eating loads at lunch and decide to go for junks (or something light) during dinner because I'm meeting different people. Fortunately, each meal has been manageable. Sure there were leftovers, especially when it's all ladies but I didn't feel too stuffed. Or maybe, my appetite has grown. Anyway, I didn't go to the usual Delicious (it's like a TCC alike joint - maybe better - and seems very popular here) this trip and I'm glad I get to try different restaurants. There's the Purple Cane Tea Restaurant at The Gardens. I'm not a tea person but it's a good thing you can...

Complaints

Sometimes I'm guilty of complaining/bitching/whining too much. But if I don't do that from time to time, I may just explode. And I think I show my emotions pretty easily. Especially when I'm mad, you see my black face (although I'm much better at controlling the colour change nowadays). Only because I'm quick-tempered. Anyway, here goes my bitch of the day: I woke up at 430am today after only 5hrs of sleep because I needed to catch the 710am flight to KL. Staying in the other end of Singapore doesn't help but I figured it's not worth the trouble to bring everything back to mum's. I thought it looked like it's gonna rain but the sky in the west always looks that way so I was hoping I'm wrong. And the second I stepped out of the house, it poured. So I tried calling for a cab and as usual, I didn't get one. Just when I thought I'm screwed, a hired cab turned in! For once, I'm glad someone stays in the West. I thought it's my lucky da...

How's Married Life?

I guess the only time when people (who are not that close to me) popped that question is when we have ran out of things to say. But, they wouldn't know. That when they ask that question, I have nothing much to say too. So, excuse me, I need to go search for an answer.

Singapura, let's celebrate!

'Suaku' me is going to my FIRST NDP tomorrow. So excited! Should I really wear white & red? Going to KL alone next week. More 'me' time then? But lots of feasting time... (bloated) I've gained 1kg you know :( Heck la, let's just be merry & celebrate!

Closer, Closure

C.L.O.S.U.R.E After today, it's another 4 years to the next World Cup. The one game that brings almost all soccer fanatics together. And probably the only time to bring the Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal fans to root for the same team. C.L.O.S.E.R 4 years later. I would be over 30 then. I think 30s is the new 20s for women so bring it on! Another month to the trips. So looking forward. Another 3 months to the trip. Again. It's so bizarre I've said this before and yet, I'm saying this again. Let us be safe and have loads of fun will you? Girlfriends are one of the best gifts one can have other than families and your significant halves. They are more so important when you don't have a partner, ha. But you know the equation works differently when you add in husbands, kids, work, household chores and whatnot. You will then have to minus the time spent shopping together, high tea-ing, watching a movie and basically, meeting one another. BUT, if you put in effort and are wi...

No more

Bad hair day next birthday! Last year. Hair was flat and face was soooo round! OMG! This year. Fringe is crooked and face is still damn round! OMG! What memorable birthdays I've always had...

2nd half of the year starts NOW

BEING 27... My first airpork birthday card from HS, from HK. Very touched, really. You'll be perfectly fine in a foreign land in no time so hang in there :) Flowers from Matpac. This wasn't intentional or planned but yea, birthday pressie from me to me. Good deal from NYC. And I've decided to get me a bag each birthday :) Although I've made Mr Grumpy get me one this year. Birthday card. . Shower of love. This I didn't 'demand'. Simple celebration at T3 before he flew off to South Africa. Simple celebration at home. With favourite durian cake. 8 days later... Happy Birthday! Grumpy as usual... ******** Woke up in shock this morning... My bad. I didn't set the alarm succesfully and missed sending you off :( I was supposed to be up at 330am and my brother called to ask where I am at 440am. Like, just woke up? So I figured it's too late for me to rush down from the west to the east and decided to go back to sleep. After tossing for a good 10, 15 minut...
