Heard so much about this place when I was interning at a local tour agency...
Was a little excited when I learnt I was going there for work.
Yes, I was trying to find joy in work trips. Rarely an optimist but am trying.
It was more exciting when 2 crazy girls decided to join me at the very last minute.
This decision led them spending $100+ on coach tickets (luxury coach with TV and more leg room - better than plane huh?) and 8hrs on the road!
I admire their spontaneity. I guess a break is needed.
Even when it meant spending no more than 24hrs at Sunway, not using the facilities (pool was closed and there wasn't much time) and the initial plan to not sleep so that we could make full use of the time there didn't materialise.
Well, we are no longer young.
They went shopping when I was working and sad to say, beside Mr. Grumpy and my dad, I've never seen anyone find shopping torturous. To think that they are women and that even the impatient men would have done better than them.
On the contrary, the 2hrs I spent at the mall for lunch and a little shopping was too short.
Again, that's me.
I surprised myself when I walked in to a shop and grabbed 6 pieces to the fitting room within minutes. Actually, why am I surprised, ha.
I only came out with 2 if you are wondering.
Nothing beats Bangsar still.
As for work, for the first time yesterday, I was a VIP at the event, giving away lucky draw prizes. Also for the first time yesterday, a lego toy meant for the booth activity was stolen!
Yes, can you believe it? I thought 'begging' for freebies was the most one would do...
Anyway, I didn't find Sunway particularly interesting.
Too crowded and too family oriented (spells LOTS of kids!).
But the Christmas feel was good.
Let's hope we'll do a proper short trip soon :)
